This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for a skilled Plumber who takes pride in their work and cares about delivering a great experience for our customers. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for plumbing repairs and maintenance in homes and empty properties. You’ll diagnose problems, find solutions, and make sure every job is completed to a high standard.

This isn’t just about fixing pipes—it’s about making a real difference to people’s lives by ensuring their homes are safe, comfortable, and functional. If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and providing excellent service, we’d love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied and empty homes.
  • Diagnose issues accurately and deliver effective, long-lasting solutions.
  • Work safely and follow all health and safety guidelines, including PPE use and risk assessments.
  • Keep your skills up to date through training and development opportunities.
  • Provide outstanding customer service—every visit should leave a positive impression.
  • Manage your van stock efficiently and order materials responsibly.
  • Stay organised and productive, minimising downtime and maximising first-time fixes.
  • Report any incidents or near misses and help maintain a safe working environment.
  • Drive responsibly and keep your vehicle in good condition.
  • Take on additional tasks when needed to support the wider team.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service (Essential).
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively (Essential).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills (Essential).
  • Ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion (Essential).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality (Essential).
  • Comfortable using basic IT systems for job management (Essential).

Knowledge and Experience

  • Solid knowledge of domestic plumbing installations and repairs (Essential).
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices (Essential).
  • Experience in another trade (Desirable).
  • Familiarity with NHF schedule of rates (Desirable).
  • Experience working in occupied homes and under time constraints (Essential).
  • Training in non-licensed asbestos work (Desirable).

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent (Essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in Plumbing or C\&G 6189 (Essential).
  • Water regulations & unvented water (Desirable).
  • Part P Electrical Qualification (Desirable).
  • CSCS Card (Desirable).
  • First Aid training (Desirable).
  • Full clean driving licence (Essential).
