Junior Business Systems Specialist

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are currently looking for a Junior Business Systems Specialist to join our team. The main purpose of this role is to support and maintain our application systems in order to deliver a high availability, well managed and coherent applications architecture.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing 3rd line application support.
  • Liaising with suppliers to undertake configuration changes to core systems such as patches, upgrades, hot fixes or service packs.
  • Supervising and monitoring core systems to ensure consistent availability to the business.
  • Creating and maintaining knowledge based support documents.
  • Working with and assisting the training team to recommend appropriate training for end users.
  • Participating in the design, implementation and testing of improvements to the core business systems.

We’d love to meet someone with:

  • Experience of working within a 2nd or 3rd line support environment.
  • Experience of working on technical projects.
  • The ability to manage a high and varied workload, balancing conflicting priorities as required.
  • Ideally experience of working with MS Dynamics and Orchard Housing.
  • Ideally experience of working within the social housing sector.

Successful candidates will need to complete a basic DBS application. 

Please note shifts are Monday - Friday, between the hours 8am and 8pm but typically Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm Friday 9am- 4:30 pm but you can work flexibly to achieve a work/life balance willing to consider alternative options for the right candidate.
